You might experience slight bleeding for the first 24 hours after your implant placement. If you notice excessive bleeding, please contact the clinic.

A time-tested home remedy to aid in clotting and control bleeding is using tea bags. Moisten a regular tea bag, squeeze out the excess water, and place it on the affected area. The tannic acid in the tea helps with clotting. You can use multiple tea bags if needed and replace them as they become saturated with blood. Repeat this process as often as necessary.

While experiences may vary, you might experience some discomfort and swelling after the procedure. However, many patients report minimal pain. We will prescribe pain medication to help manage any discomfort you may have.

Although titanium dental implants have a success rate of over 95%, there is still a risk of failure. Factors that can contribute to implant failure include:

• Failure to integrate properly with the bone
• Smoking
• Diabetes

If an implant fails within the first year, your dentist will replace it at no additional cost to you.
